At a certain point words fail. What release on Deathbomb Arc am I not proud of? So when something is not only special, but special in a way that is beyond anything else, what can I say? That is the wonderful dilemma I face today with the release of ‘We Are You There’, the triple LP discography of 90s bay area noiserock band rRope. For all that Deathbomb Arc aspires to, here is a perfect release. An incredible lost treasure, remastered and still sounding futuristic after all these years. Or, in other words:
Out Now!
DBA113
rRope ‘We Are You There’ 3xLP / digital
AND, to celebrate the release, Ad Hoc is streaming the entire 31 track album! So check out the release for yourself! And please take a moment to hit ‘like’ while you are there and spread the word!

Tomorrow is the last day of a full time, non-music job I’ve been working since new years. Don’t know how in the world I’ve been juggling running Deathbomb, doing my own music, starting up a pr company, and doing this job, but I’m very excited for it to be over and have a little time to relax. I want to send my infinite thanks to everyone that has been helping out these past few months, making everything possible:
Adam Harms and all the passionate artists at TANG for bringing my vision of this tumblr to life and making it so much more than I even imagined. Thanks to them, music news is way more fun and engaging than it has ever been at Deathbomb.
Isaac Hicks for escalating the Deathbomb Digital Singles Club to it’s full potential. As one subscriber noted, the singles are magic doors to other universes.
Andrew Ohlmann at Cargo collective for his incredible, interactive discography design. Finally the decade long history of Deathbomb Arc is not a hidden secret. Somehow this makes me feel even more confident moving the label into the future.
All the webteam members. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm about Deathbomb Arc. I hope you and your friends are all having fun with the free music!
On Tue, the rRope 3xLP discography finally comes out. Can’t wait for everyone to hold this in their hands and hear these beautiful rare gems on vinyl. I am also very excited to let you know that the next vinyl release on Deathbomb is the debut album from I.E.!!! Yes, the same amazing lady that floored everyone at the Enter the Internet event. Her first proper full length, on 12” vinyl. Due out this fall. But more on that later. In the meantime, why not enjoy this non-Deathbomb track from Ezra Buchla (via Ad Hoc).

Pete Swanson is a dude most noise savvy folks know. His work in the duo Yellow Swans has an very influential role in 00s experimental music. Since then his solo music has continued to captivate people. For Deathbomb he also has played a very important and unsung role. His work mastering records, using a particularly aggressive approach, was vital towards creating the sound of the first Foot Village album ‘World Fantasy’ and dozens of other releases. Deathbomb also had the honor of releasing a handful of Yellow Swans recordings, including a 7” by them that I got to working closely on as a producer as well. (Which, btw, you can grab FOR FREE from our bandcamp page).
Impose Magazine just published a big interview with Pete. His work is as relevant as ever. I highly recommend this fine read.
We probably don’t need any more abstract scrapings either, but people keep picking up my records and writing about them so I don’t see a reason to not put out something I’d be doing anyway. I can’t quit music, I’ve tried too many times.

Just added to our webstore: Coyote Clean Up’s 2nd full length of 2012! ‘Double Doom’, released by I Had An Accident, is otherwise sold out. We were able to get the last 4 copies of this absolute banger. Smooth tunes, big beats, and ultimate passion.
Check out a track from the album if you just aren’t sure yet!

Algodón Egipcio is one of our favorite diy pop musicians on the planet. If you follow this tumblr closely, you’ll know this is hardly the first time we have shared his music with you. Hopefully Deathbomb will find some fun ways to work with him in the future. Until then, we are very happy to just share his music with you. This time around, he delivers a cover of the Janet Jackson classic “Love Will Never Do (Without You)”. A track that was commissioned by the Cokemachine Glow website.

Miguel Mendez seems to be getting in the swing of internet music sharing. For someone that has been such a virtual recluse for years, the amount of new tracks he has been posting to soundcloud lately is very exciting! This new one, “Damn you”, is particularly special as he had a friend, Nazy Karimi, sing his lyrics instead of doing it himself. Her voice brings out a certain sobriety to the words that Miguel’s wisecracking nature can sometimes miss. Definitely a pairing I hope to hear more from. Amazing stuff.
